Project Overview

LastMinuteEngineering (LME) is an end-to-end full-stack academic platform engineered to streamline engineering workflows and serve thousands of engineering students across universities.

Architected with a modern Next.js 16 (React 19) frontend and a high-throughput serverless Express backend deployed on Vercel, backed by connection-pooled MongoDB and Mongoose schemas.

Centralizes curriculum-aligned engineering resources including syllabi, previous years' question papers (PYQs), curated notes, e-books, and continuous assessment materials with fast fuzzy search powered by Levenshtein distance algorithms.

Integrates an academic Gemini AI assistant for real-time homework guidance, Razorpay online payments with webhook verification, Web Push notification pipelines, and Google OAuth with JWT sessions.

Delivers high-utility tools including client-side image compression, image-to-PDF conversion, dynamic QR generators, and MAKAUT GPA calculators with installable Progressive Web App (PWA) support.
